We contracted w/ TFS at the end of 2019. Then the pandemic hit and we weren't sure what was going to happen to our business. TFS was willing to put the solar installation on hold until we were ready, no pressure to move forward. We eventually got back on track and had our solar installed. It works great! Our electric bill last month (July) was $18.

Our solar installation experience was terrific. You all were responsive and on-time. You never left us guessing. Special kudos to Willy and his crew. They did a complex job efficiently and without any interference in our daily routine. They all seemed well organized, got along well with each other and enjoyed their work. Most importantly they installed the solar panels with minimal change to the appearance of our house and left the job site clean with nothing for us to pick up or restore.

TFS has done a great job for me installing solar. Actually twice! A few years ago before I moved, and just recently at my new home. After the first install, I knew I wouldn’t have used anyone else. They are trustworthy, professional, and know what they are doing!

TFS as a team was impressive. Tamarack communicated to us the different phases of the project which was very helpful in organizing our schedule. Mike and the other technicians completed the install efficiently with little disruption to our daily routine. Steve connected the monitoring unit and showed us how to monitor the system on our phone in an easy to follow manner. All in all we are very pleased with the service TFS provided.

I can't say enough good things about TFS and how they walked us through the process of getting solar installed for our home. We got a customized set up and they answered all of my detailed 'engineer brain' questions with ease. After the install I hopped up on the roof to inspect their work - I was impressed! And since the system was turned on it has been producing quite a lot of energy. It will be so nice when summer rolls around, to be helping our AC system keep us comfortable in a more sustainable way. I didn't realize just how much water and CO2 production will be avoided over the years by switching to solar, and how we are also helping our neighbors by sharing our excess clean energy. We chose this company after talking with several others, largely because of the clear presentation of system and payment options. Once we got started, all aspects of the process went smoothly and communication was consistently excellent, in spite of logistical challenges from the Covid-19 pandemic. Everyone who came to our house wore masks (well before they were mandated) and most communication was done by phone and email. Our solar system is working splendidly and we are very happy to have guilt-free air conditioning during this ferocious summer!

TFS put our system in just a little over a year ago. We were so delighted with them at that time and still are. Recently, we noticed that we were not generating solar like we normally do. Upon looking at our layout on our app we saw one whole section of panels were not doing anything. We called TFS only to find out that they were already aware of it and working on the problem. Within two days, they were out and putting in a new invertor at NO cost to us. John, who came out could not have been more knowledgeable and efficient. He spent time answering all our questions (probably dumb ones). This company is so personable and professional. Everyone of them that we have talked with either on the phone or in person has made us feel that they totally care and love their jobs. We know people that are so unhappy with the solar company that did theirs. They get no answers to their questions and rarely even get a return call. Too bad they didn’t go with TSF because that’s not how they treat their customers. Thank you TSF for caring!

I highly recommend Technicians for Sustainability (TFS) in Tucson as your Solar Installation company. They had very professional crews, work was done right the first time, and the areas cleaned up. At the initial meeting we appreciated the ability to real-time compare different number of panels to cover the peak-usage without detriment to the pay-back period. We are very happy with the PV systems with SunPower panels.

Everyone did what they said they would when they said they would.

They talked me through the whole process and quickly and comprehensively answered all the questions I had. They took care of everything and there was great communication throughout the process, too. Really took all the complexity out of the process. Then, when the second progress payment was due, I was out of the country for a few weeks and couldn't immediately send a check. According to the contract they wouldn't have continued with the work till I paid but after explaining the situation they continued anyway without any more questions (I really didn't expect or even ask them to). After the installation it took only a few days to have the inspection done (they took care of this, too) and have the system up and running. My neighbor had Solar installed last month from a different company (against my recommendation) and they had to wait almost a month for the inspection. After everything was complete, they checked back a few times to see if I had any problems (I didn't). I had noticed a few minor air pockets under the coating they had put around the stands of the panels, nothing serious and I wouldn't even have mentioned it, but as they asked, I pointed it out. They came out to fix those and in the process completed some coating on a different part of the roof where I had done some unrelated work but hadn't been able to finish, yet. Oh, and the online monitoring is way more interesting to watch than it's supposed to be!

I repeat: Wow, is this company GREAT! Every single TFS person we dealt with from start to finish was competent, pleasant, and true to their word. Their willingness to tailor the PV system to our specific needs was awesome, and they take the time to inform the customer about what to expect at each step along the way. I recommend them as your solar installation company without reservation.

We found TFS by doing extensive research on solar companies. We chose them because they are a local Tucson company with impeccable reviews. From the first visit from David through the install and final visit TFS handled everything perfectly! We couldn't be happier with our choice and would highly recommend them if you are going solar. They are honest, knowledgeable, timely and have very competitive pricing.

About one month ago our roof solar system was installed by Technicians for Sustainability, and we couldn't be happier! TFS was absolutely outstanding: they were courteous, patient, and explained all of our questions in great detail. They even went above and beyond the call of duty: In order to install our panels, we first had to request a permit from the city for a ramada that we built in our backyard but for which we never requested a permit (mind you, the panels were not going to go on top of the ramada, but because we live in a historical neighborhood we needed a permit first). TFS assisted us at every step of the process in obtaining the ramada permit, and then proceeded with the solar panel installation. TFS was absolutely phenomenal! We recommend TFS with flying colors!

We had solar installed by Technicians For Sustainability this summer and they were the greatest team to work with. The TFS staff definitely walk the talk and made the installation and education process as easy as possible for us. We've always wanted to use solar to do our part to help the environment. I recently leased a SunPower PV system through Technicians For Sustainability, and am very pleased to now be producing solar power. Entire staff from the time we called to schedule an appointment for an estimate to the time we had our "how to understand our Data Monitoring" was outstanding. TFS installed both a solar water system and an electrical power system. In both cases they were by far the best contractor I ever dealt with in terms of professionalism, workmanship, reliability, value, and sincere interest in their customers' satisfaction. I am very handy with anything electrical and with plumbing. As such, I always think I would have done a better job than anyone I hire. Not so with TFS: they are what every contractor should be. And they are pleasant, too. During construction they had to add a concrete platform they had not included in their estimate, so they did it at no cost. One of the workers damaged something on the roof that I probably would not have noticed or attributed to them later, but they told me about it right away. They are uniquely professional. Finally, my systems have been operating since 2010 without a problem and outperforming design.

Communications with TFS were great, they kept me informed each step along the way. The installation was efficient and completed in two days! Everyone is committed to sustainability, customer service and getting things done right.

We recently had solar installed on our house, and we could not be more please with the work of TFS. David met with us and reviewed our options. We later received a proposal for installation. We never felt pressured or that TFS was recommending that we install a bigger system than what we needed. They did an analysis of the last year of our electrical use and recommended a system that would meet 98% of our needs. All of the TFS staff have been courtesy and patient when asked questions by non-technical people. The installation and follow-up went smoothly. Most of all I was impressed by the commitment of staff to alternative use of energy. They are all true believers. If you are considering a solar system you can't go wrong with this company. Starting my second year and all is still as perfect at the day they fired it up. I watch other installers but cannot find installs that match the professionalism of TFS. Others seem to use a lot more panels to achieve the same output per KW. TFS uses the best materials and the best install techniques. TFS is simply the best. Once the contract was signed, everything happened on schedule and as planned. The system was turned on once the TEP meter change was made and fired up to work just as planned.

I would highly recommend. Excellent staff and crew. Their craftsmanship and professionalism was the best. I had gotten estimates from other places but TFS had the best prices with the best solar panels. The only company to go with if you want to go solar in my opinion.

Our experience with TFS was great. We had another solar company come to our house and they basically told us that solar would work. Dave with TFS came to our house and worked up a creative solution and walked us through exactly what we could expect. The installation crews were super. They worked through the challenges of dealing with a 1930 house that's seen multiple electrical upgrades and went above and beyond to make it work. As a bike commuter, I loved seeing them arrive by bike most days - at the end of the job they left everything clean and better than before. Top notch experience all the way around.

Some of the phone calls are totally oriented to money--their first question is whether I would like to save on my electric bill---solar energy is just a vehicle for us to get the best of TEP. I am very pleased that I chose TFS to install our residential solar photo-voltaic system - they lived up to the excellent reviews I read on-line to help me choose an installer. All aspects of the installation were handled by people who clearly cared about the need to strive towards sustainability as indicated in their company name. All appointments were closely met and the work was completed quickly and professionally on both the mechanical and the electrical aspects of the installation. The quoted price was met exactly. A small problem with the internet connection for online monitoring of the system was detected by TFS as well as myself and the response to fix it was rapid and successful. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending TFS as an installer of residential solar photo-voltaic power systems.

Technicians for Sustainability handled everything about our project from start to finish. They were professional, courteous, and worked around our schedule. Now that we have worked with them, we are invited to their annual open houses, so we feel like part of their "solar family"!

TFS is the only contractor that has worked on my house that deserves 5 stars. The installation was done on time and is extremely professional. We are producing more electricity than TFS promised and our system should pay for itself in a little over 4 years. We've had one minor problem with the system and TFS sent out a technician the same day we called to solve the problem. This company is one that truly deserves your business. One of those rare companies that make customer service a priority

TFS Solar exceeded our expectations before, during and after our installation. They continue to do so even now that we're not even directly dealing with them, by donating money to charities when people we refer to them sign a contract for a system. Even our solar system they installed is exceeding expectations. It was designed to produce about 95% of our annual needs and it's actually producing more than what we've been using, by a good amount. I have absolutely no qualms about recommending TFS Solar.

We've had a fair amount of work done by various contractors over the years but have never had a better experience than with TFS. Everyone was sweet as pie and so knowledgeable and just good at what they do. Would recommend, and have recommended, many times.

This company wsa more than helpful. They are local and involved. The time estimates they gave were more than realistic, they ended up installing a month before they had promised to do so. We instantly saved on our utility bills, and in our all electric house rarely pay more than the $14 service fee a month to the electric company. I can access info about how our solar system is doing online at any time, from anywhere. TFS was absolutely amazing and extremely affordable, much better than the other quotes we had received.

The TFS crew was unquestionably the best we have ever had working here. They communicated well, and always had a positive attitude. They left the work area spotless at the end of each day, often better than when they began. The work they did both inside and outside the house was completely professional, and done to very high standards. We had been considering solar for a few years, and we are completely happy with the way the company handled our job from start to finish – bid to completion. TFS was a wonderful organization to work with on our PV installation. Their staff was always friendly and very responsive to emails and calls. There was never any hassle dealing with install or in the paperwork required to complete the job. The staff was extremely knowledgable and thorough, and were super passionate about sustainability. This is our second house to have solar-electric installed. The company that did our first house found TFS for us and did all the up-front work. We did everything on this project long distance (we being in Denver and TFS in Tucson) via phone or e-mail. TFS has been a dream to work with. They have been totally professional. We told TFS that we would be coming to Tucson sometime around the 1st of December and would like the work to start around then. The start date was set for the December 1st. Just under two weeks later the project was complete and we were up and running, watching our meter run backwards. What fun.

I spent my summer having 7 to 8 companies give me estimates and presentations regarding their systems and their customer service. After i tabulated all the info and sat down and compared what they had to offer, i felt that TFS would provide the best product at price that i could work with. they even helped me out with some in house finance options. i was impressed by the workers that came out to work on my system. they finished on time, the system looks great and more importantly it is working well. I would recommend TFS to anyone looking at a PV system. they also do some cool work free of charge for non-profit programs. my church received a free solar water heater system for our showers that we use for the homeless. the cost of something like that would have been about 4 thousand dollars..very cool!
