IQ Power

The previous owners were the suckers that paid for this unreliable system. It came with the house at no premium. My realtor says they are of no value in resale either. The system seems to work sporadically so I may have a bill for $40 and then the next month for $225. IQ wants $400 to come check it out even when their computer says it is producing. Duke requires about 2 hours on the phone to tell you there is nothing wrong on their side. So overall, not reliable, expensive (thankfully not for me), debatable about whether is helps the environment, and definitely not cost effective.

It's been 3 years since I've installed my system and I'm still as satisfied with not only my system, but with IQ Power as I was when I was first installed. My bill this month is only $28.89 even with the power company increasing rates which $9.48 of that alone is my base charge which I have to pay no matter what and then remove taxes and my actual power usage/charges is even lower. My system has never had any issues with it, but I have IQ Power do my annuals just to have my system checked over and panels cleaned. It's worth the money for peace of mind knowing my system is in good hands. If I ever needed any other services, I wouldn't hesitate to use IQ Power. The techs are great & the girls in the office as nice. Everyone is super helpful.

Worst experience of my life. I do not recommend this company. Don't walk run away from them. Terrible

The sales person, Rory, lied about solar power. I had contracted with this company to install solar panels for the sole purpose of providing electricity in the event a storm took out the grid. My wife uses a vent to sleep and needs electricity. We were told unequivocally that this system would do just that. So I spent $23,000 to install the panels. One day we lost power due to a storm and our electricity went out. When I called the company we were told that when the grid goes down so does the solar panels. I asked, "What good are solar panels if I still need Florida Power and Light"? I was told that even with battery backup my system still had to be connected to the grid. Apparently this is Florida law that I should have known. In addition, they financed the installation with ISPC, a company who put a lien on my property and listed the loan as a credit card on my credit report. This company charges a fee to pay them, a fee to receive an invoice, a fee to not have direct debit......it's ridiculoous. So now I'm stuck with a system I don't want.

I just got my roof done and my installation of my solar panels finally. Many thanks to Sonia for her attention and guidance, she is very kind and attentive. I loved her help if it hadn't been for her I don't know how my case would be… Thank you very much for everything.

I called IQ Solar for a warranty repair to a system they did not install. The company who installed it is now out of business. The issues have been nonstop with the inverter company but Danielle Martinez at IQ has been more than amazing. I am now going on my 3rd replacement to the original inverter in as many months. Danielle as well as Kristina and IQ have treated me as if I purchased the system from them. Danielle has gone above and beyond for me trying to deal with the inverter manufacturer. If I had a business with a customer service department I would not only want Danielle working for me but I would want her running that department. Thank you.

Iq power has provided exceptional customer service even 4 years after installation of solar panels and hybrid water heater. I can't say enough about danielle. She has spent so much time helping me with a couple issues. She is knowledgable,polite and patient. This is the way you run customer service. Service tech Edwin is awesome. Very few companies can perform like this nowadays

IQ Power has done previous installation and repairs for my Solar System and they are very professional.

IQ Power has been refreshing to deal with. Last August our bill was $375, and now it was $34. Needless to say I am very happy with the bill. Also, when they first installed the efficient pool pump, we had some issues with our fountain. The girls in the office were very helpful, they came out and made the necessary adjustments and all is well. Have been an all around amazing company to deal with. Very happy.

After months of tedious research and consideration I chose to purchase a solar system through IQ power. I could not be more pleased with the outcome!!! The men that took my solar panels off my roof and reinstalled them, so I could replace my shingles, were excellent. They were both professional and knowledgeable. When I needed help to figure out why my pool water was getting so hot, they talked me through it. The people on the phone were excellent too. I recommend them 100%.

IQ Solar is awesome, wonderful customer service. They installed the solar panels and most months I pay $0 or get a refund! They also have a solar panel cleaning service you can order which helps get the most efficient service from your panels. (Great for cleaning off all the pollen we get each year) I highly recommend using IQ Solar.

IQ Solar was recommended by my pool guy. I’ve used them several times and they rock! They keep you informed and get the job done. My solar had a problem and the water wasn’t coming out hot. Ian and Dante showed up and got to work. They checked out my entire system, found a leak and then found the source of no hot water. They spent over 2 hours here and now my system works like new. Would definitely pass on the recommendation!!!

Needed to have my solar panels removed/re-installed when having a new roof put on. IQ Power did a great job. They were very professional and responsive and fixed a few problems we were having. I signed them up immediately to do annual inspections.

I highly recommend the IG power team for service and support of your lagacy PV and Solar hot water heater services. I recently called looking for support to replace my 10+ year old Solar water heater and perform a system check on my 10+ year old PV system. The technician who arrived was very knowledgeable of the product I had and was able to answer all my questions in regards to service and support as well as future upgrade possibilities. They impressed me so much I have transferred my support from my original provider to the IQ team for all future product and services.

I recently moved into my home that already had a solar panel for my hot water. This company came out to inspect and service for general maintenance. I recently had my roof redone this year, and IQ Power came out to uninstall and then reinstall my panel. They have friendly and knowledgeable technicians! Will continue to use this company! IQ Power sends me a message when it is time for my yearly maintenance. I call them to set up an appointment. Their service personnel are always here when they say they will be, performs any maintenance that is required to the equipment and cleans the solar panels.

They did original installation

I shopped around and did a ton of research. IQ power was the best product for the price. No pressure sales and great service after the install. My electric bill savings covers much more than the cost of the system giving me an excellent net saving.

First, i interviewed a bunch of companies thank god i went with IQ. Very professional and were super concerned about the entire home and its energy efficiency. I went from 500 buck a month to 50 bucks a month with my electric bill. Bye bye Duke Energy!

I have been a home inspector for 22 years. IQ power was honest, competitive, professional and courteous. The only thing that didn’t go EXACTLY as expected, was that it took 3 days to complete the install instead of 2. That said, I am very happy with this company and highly recommend.

We have now had our IQ Power Solar System installed for one year and we will give a thumbs up for the install. The panels look great everything appears to be working as it should but our electrical bills have shown that it was a bad investment overall. We had 31 panels installed thinking our electric bill would drop to under $100.00. It did for about 4 months but you don't realize how much the sun does not shine in the sunshine state until you get solar panels. Over the summer our bill shot back up and made us realize that the money we paid wasn't worth it. IQ power did not do a energy audit on our home during the initial visit to evaluate our needs but the issue really isn't IQ Power. That big yellow ball in the sky hides behind clouds a lot more than you think and the system you spent 10's of thousands of dollars on underperforms because of it. I would recommend putting money into really good windows and the best energy efficient AC unit you can get. Speaking from a solar customer point of view money would be better spent on downsizing the amount of solar panels to just enough to cover your AC equipment energy consumption or at least minimizing it. Switch to gas if you can. This review is by no means a diss on IQ power. They provided awesome equipment but the Florida weather makes it comparable to buying a Ferrari but only being able to drive it 25 miler per hour. Please put a lot of thought into this purchase before signing that contract. Maybe talk to some existing Solar panel owners in person and don't just rely on reviews you read online. On line reviews can be easily manipulated.

I contacted IQ Power when my the production of system installed by Brevard Solar that went out of business fell down by 50%. IQ Power identified the problem and made the necessary repairs. I had a follow up issue that turned up to be connectivity, the company honored the warranty and got the system up and running.

This company has been great. They walked me through what they recommended. After signing on, they have been very friendly, professional, helpful, and punctual. Highly recommended.

IQ just completed the install of a new 10.8 kw system on our house and 2 new heat pump water heaters. Stephen, the office staff, and crew were professional, responsive, courteous, and helpful throughout. Our house's configuration presented some challenges, but their engineers and technicians were able to provide good solutions. Being on the beach, we got the new sunny boy inverters which will also enable us to power small appliances in the event of a long power outage (during which time traditional solar systems need to be taken off the grid to ensure the electrical line-mens' safety). We are very happy to finally be solar powered. Thanks IQ!

IQ Power went above and beyond. I interviewed 5 different solar power companies in the Jacksonville area before selecting IQ Power. My wife would not let me install panels with the traditional silver squares on our black roof. She wanted solid black, which is typically much more expensive. I found some solid black premium panels in California from Solaria and IQ Power agreed to purchase and install for the same price. They even covered the engineering cost for these new panels! The system took awhile to arrive, but the install went smoothly. It was a large 60 panel 20.7 kWh system. My JEA electric bill has already dropped from $500 down to $150 per month. Thanks, Brian
