Exact Solar

I'm very happy with my experience installing a large system on my agricultural building. Nick was a pleasure to work with and the system is performing just as expected. I recently ran into a contractor after I completed my project and he said having worked with a few different solar companies Exact Solar has been his preferred vendor by far.

My home installation by Exact Solar went flawlessly. They performed both site assessment and installation visits quickly and right on time. My sales engineer, Mike Lehane, provided lots of details on site requirements, installation, installation costs and long-term recovery of my costs through power sales and incentives from government sources and my utility. Mike also listened to my concerns and modified the design of my installation to facilitate solar expansion in future years as I purchase a heat pump and electric car. Thanks to unexpected responsiveness by my utility, our solar panels were energized ahead of schedule. In summary, it was a pleasure to work with Exact Solar, and their installation has met all our expectations. Based on our experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Exact Solar to other residential buyers.

Phenomenal work and very professional

I just recently had solar panels and a generator inlet installed on my house by the crew listed below. The Entire process was very easy.My sales guy Joshua was very professional. I had some pretty high demands and joshua's was able to make it happen. The crew that came out to conduct the work was very professional and always on time. If you are thinking about getting solar panels. Exact solar is the company you want to deal with. They don't subcontract any of their work. They're all in-house personnel from sales to the install crew hats off to exact solar. Conner Jon Chris Manny James

Great Customer Service!!! I had a well-known company install my photovoltaic system. The price was fair, but the installation process had several issues that took time to resolve. Eventually, though, the system came online, and I was a very happy homeowner with a fully functioning solar setup. This winter, I started receiving production alarms from the inverter. I contacted support multiple times, but I was repeatedly assured that everything was fine and there was nothing to worry about. After a long delay, a repair appointment was finally scheduled. Then, the Friday before the repair, the installer informed me they had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and canceled the appointment. Now stuck with a malfunctioning system, I began researching local solar companies. I discovered Exact Solar after noticing their signs outside several homes with solar installations. When I checked their website, I saw they specialized in servicing orphaned solar systems, so I gave them a call. They responded promptly and took my concerns seriously from the start. They guided me through the process of changing installers and quickly diagnosed the problem with my system. Exact Solar arranged for a replacement inverter and even worked with the equipment manufacturer to have it covered under warranty. Once everything was approved, their technician came out and repaired the system right away. The entire experience was smooth, professional, and stress-free. I only wish I had chosen Exact Solar to install the system in the first place.

Exact Solar staff was always friendly, helpful, and responsive to my questions and requests. Exact Solar was recommended by a friend who had the same experience with our Township solar installation. In particular, Michael Skipper was very helpful during the proposal phase, Ryan Nunn and Nick Del Grosso were responsive during the design phase, and Connor, Johnny, John & Manuel were easy to work with during the installation phase. Everyone in the office were also friendly and always responded to my questions. Doug Edwards proposed attractive pricing when the weather prevented installation in 2025. Overall, I had a very good experience with the team at Exact Solar.

Highly recommended and professional Solar installer. They have been around since 2005 which is an important criteria to look at. You want an installer that has been around for years to count on future support! They are competitively priced! Lower than others in the area! They installed my system in September and its been working fantastic! They use top notch gear such as Enphase micro inverters, combiners and Vsun panels. They are quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Through and through I highly recommend them!

Customer service delays of 2 - 5 months

My microinverter stopped working and a new piece was ordered and delivered. I was instructed to schedule service with Exact Solar and called them to schedule service. The woman I spoke with on the phone said someone would be in touch; however, did not ask for any contact information and I had to inquire if she wanted it. I received an email from Exact Solar support on 10/28/25 that indicates they are "unable to handle SOS service inquiries until Q1, and non-urgent service work for existing customers will also be scheduled in Q1." Currently I have a non-functioning solar unit that may not be repaired for 2 - 5 months. If considering Exact Solar be aware they may not be able to assist you in a timely manner once the system is installed.

Couldn't be happier

From Sept. 2024 to April 2025 we dealt with Exact Solar for the installation of 17 solar panels on the roof of our home and 2 -10 kWh batteries in our basement. Everything about the experience was excellent. Sales staff were friendly, proficient and anything but pushy. Their quote was competetive with others we received and did not change at any time during intallation. All personnel, sales through coordination through installation, were top notch, professional and polite. Heck, the head of the installation team gave me his personal cell phone number in case I had any questions or needs. Before, during and after installation the staff bent over backwards to answer any questions we had. I especially appreciate the skill of their installers and the way that Exact Solar, rather than we, did all the dealing with the Township regarding permits and inspections and with PECO regarding integration with their system. Since installation, the neighborhood has had one grid power failure, as a storm went through the area. Our system immediately and seemlessly switched to panel and battery power and carried us through the next 20 hours till power was restored, at which time it switched back to grid connection, again seemlessly. We are extremely satisfied with Exact Solar - their people, their approach to the job and to customers, and their products.

Perfect!

I did a LOT of research before fulfilling my determination to go solar. The rest of the contenders were national firms, some very big names, with varying degrees of reputation. Only Exact really understood my local power company's policies. Some of the other nationals didn't understand that I could qualify for my anticipated use, not just current use, as we transition the home away from fossil fuels. Also, Exact uses its own crews, not some shadowy local sub-contractor. That means they are accountable for their work--- you see the same guys every day of the work, and when the inspections get done. They handled the local permitting process without additional charge. I was a cash customer, so I can't speak to financing, but the payment schedule was fair and it didn't feel like they were running their business on my "up front" money. Plenty of flexibility as far as architecture--- I really wanted micro-inverters, and they accommodated that. When it came to the install, the crew were great folks. It was hot, so I set them up a hydration station, for which they were grateful. Also brought in lunch every day. Fun guys to talk to and felt good about having them on-site. Like people I'd invite back for a party. The installation itself is beautiful. So flat and tidy. And the system has performed flawlessly for 10 weeks, providing as much power as I use to cool my home and do my laundry and cook my food. Both sales and engineering were great to work with--- I'm an electrical engineer myself, and they didn't talk down to me. I feel very fortunate to have found Exact in a local FB group via a referral.

Worth the Wait

I started working with Exact Solar in June 2021. They were consistently responsive and very helpful in all aspects of the design and permitting part of the process. Once the necessary approval and supply issues were taken care of, the installation itself was completed quickly and professionally, with the system going online in December/January. Exact Solar was also very helpful with setting up net metering and SREC accounts. I highly recommend their services!

Perfection

Everything was as advertised. The project went very smoothly with no hassles at all. It was completed when promised and it functions beautifully. All personnel were a pleasure to deal with, from CEO, to salesmen, to installers.

Best solar company!

Everything from the sales to installation to customer service was top notch. Highly recommend. My neighbor used another solar company, his panels were installed 2 weeks before mine and his still are not working, ours have been working perfectly for over 4 months and we are extremely satisfied.

Amazing From Start to Finish!

We love the company - from the beginning stages to the end, we had questions about solar (not knowing much about it at the onset). Every person we worked with was knowledgeable, passionate about solar, and patiently answered our questions. We left the process understanding and LOVING our solar system. We cannot say enough positive things about Exact Solar. If you are interested in Solar for your home or business, you will be in the best hands with them! There is not a day that goes by when our family does not think about the awesome fact that we are producing clean energy and doing so with a system that was expertly installed and backed up by an exceptional company who bends over backwards to make sure you are happy.

Quality work& great people

We choose Exact Solar to install new updated microinverters . Great job from quote to install. Very professional company

Professional, knowledgeable

We chose them because we felt confident in the sales team and proposal. The installation team did a great job. They communicated to me throughout the process, making sure I knew what was happening and getting my feedback. Overall they were very professional and I am very satisfied with the installation. I am pleased to recommend Exact Solar to anyone who asks me about the project.

Nice people and excellent service

Exact Solar installed our solar panel system, we've been extremely pleased with them. They were very nice to deal with, and got the job done when they said they would. What's been even better is the ongoing customer service. They have always been very prompt in responding to my phone calls and emails, and have been cheerful, helpful and proactive in resolving my issues and questions.

High Quality and Professional Service

I am very happy we chose Exact Solar for our solar installation. I got several quotes (several via EnergySage). I ultimately chose Exact Solar primarily because of their reputation, especially after I spoke with several people who used Exact Solar for their solar installation. Choosing the right installer is about getting the installation done right and having the same high level of service after the installation is complete. This is why I chose Exact Solar. It's somewhat analogous to buying a car where you're required to service the vehicle at the dealership where you bought it. You should be really happy with the dealership. The entire process of quote, contract signing, scheduling and install was smooth and professional. The installation team was great. On the second morning of the install, my car battery was dead and the guys gave me a jump right away. Post installation, Exact Solar responded to my numerous questions promptly and professionally (and I had many, many questions). And they facilitated the process of signing me up with an SREC broker. Our solar production is already ahead of forecast. We're still in our first year and our production so far is ~11% above our estimated production for the entire first year.

Professional, neat, courteous installation

Exact was recommended to my wife by some co-workers. We made contact and they followed up. Also got proposal from another company. Liked the responsiveness of this company.

Excellent Installation and Support on a Complex Job

We have a 230 year old barn with a steep, slightly wavy, steel roof. These guys were more than happy to take on the job (24Kw, 78 panels). It was complex, required a lot of support working with the utility company to accept the expanded plan (we want to increase consumption for our little farm) and came right through the pandemic and all its attendant delays. Exact's team was always patient, willing to answer our myriad questions, provided lots of documentation on our specific design and products. They helped us with a lot of unexpected challenges such as the Covid-19 restrictions, the distance of the barn from our wifi (for monitoring), and the extended timeline. They were always available, responsive, honest, and extremely professional. This is true of the sales and office staff, the owners, chief electrician, and everyone on the installation teams. We are very grateful for all their help, very satisfied with the work, and give them our highest recommendation.

Super PRO install and service!

This is my to go company! Did excellent job as well as follow up service!!!A+++

Quality Work/Great Service

I initially called Exact Solar because of their A rating on Angie's list. Every interaction with this company, from the owners, salespeople, engineers, installers and billing staff has been professional and pleasant. Their expertise and experience has been evident throughout. Their installers worked through absolutely hellish winter conditions to get the installation done in December and the system has performed flawlessly since. Exact Solar also installed a battery backup that has kept us up and online through two power outages so far - particularly important for me now as I am working from home during covid quarantine. The power shifted over to the battery immediately and I was able to continue working while my neighbors were firing up their generators. They also installed two EV chargers for us, making my Bolt even cheaper to operate now. The only negative part of this experience has been my electric bills. As in, they are literally negative. Couldn't be happier with this job. A+ work all the way.

Exact Solar: Quality, safety, responsiveness, & sense of mission

New to the Philly area, I needed advice on what solar installer to contract with. I met with Meenal Ravel, an advocate and educator with a group called Solarize Southeast PA. Among other services, they vet solar installers each year and Exact Solar was consistently one of the best. I was already aware of Exact Solar because they are listed in several national industry groups. Contracting with Exact Solar seemed a logical choice for installing a 30 panel, 9.9 kWp system on our garage roof. I reviewed my emails with Exact Solar co-owners Mark and Dara, over the months during the lead-up to the 2019 installation, and saw a long list of my questions and their answers. They always responded to my many questions promptly and accurately. Dara put together estimates of the system’s output, the point at which the system would pay for its own installation (11 years). Any questions I had that had to do with system performance or the National Electrical Code went to Mark or to Vlad, a master electrician who designs each of the systems and is operations manager. Installation of a solar array is an impressive series of steps. Early on, Jackson, a technician, came out with a device to measure sun and shade on the garage roof. He determined that a black walnut tree would interfere substantially with system performance. After I had the tree removed Jackson came back and re-measured the surroundings for a go-ahead. Jackson showed me how his instruments can infer the extent of sunlight every day of the year based on a single day’s several measurements. His measurements provide the basis of Dara’s long-term cost and payback estimates. Exact Solar presently has two installer teams, both reporting to Vlad. My sense is that management and the installers respect each other and work well together. My team was headed by Nick who is also outstanding to work with. He, along with Jeremy, a crew member, always “did the right thing”. Like running a very long power cable from my detached garage to the house. Running a very long cable means fewer wire-nut connections, and less chance of failure over time. But it’s cheaper and easier to link together shorter, leftover lengths of cable. When they were installing exterior conduit, Nick would confer with me where to put them so they’d be less noticeable. If Nick had any question about the system’s design, he’d call Vlad without hesitation. Vlad is a natural teacher, soft spoken, thoughtful and expert. Exact Solar has a culture of safety. Much of the time crews are on roofs and ladders, inherently dangerous places to work, and keeping workers safe is where everything starts at Exact Solar. The crew worked carefully, methodically, and cooperatively, without rushing. For Mark, Dara, Jackson, Vlad, Nick and Jeremy, bringing solar power to our communities is a passion, a mission in life, and a commitment to a viable future and not simply a business. If I had a chance to do this install over again, I would not change a thing.

Exact Solar is good

Process was seamless, Dara/Mark and team took care of everything, right from bidding for SREC to finalizing financing with PSEG. Very professional and knowledgeable. You can ask any questions regarding cost benefit analysis and they will provide all relevant details for you to make the decision. And very prompt with their responses. Could not have asked for anyone better for our solar installation.

Exactly what a solar company should be!

Research narrowed my list down to three including Exact Solar. After meeting with them, analyzing their proposal, asking tons of questions, and reviewing their agreement, I selected them. All the way through the process, from the start to going live and getting set up with a broker for SRECs, Exact Solar went above and beyond. Fast response times to questions and addressing any issues or concerns I had. The project moved quickly and they handled all the permits and interactions with my utility.

Exact Solar is the best!

We chose Exact Solar based on customer recommendations, specifically homeowners that we met on a local solar tour.

A fantastic company for your solar need

From first contact to post installation... Excellence When we first decided to add solar panel to our house we did our due diligence and collected several quotes. Exact Solar was the only company that had a thorough follow up after the quote. We had many questions and concerns and all were addressed after many email exchanges and phone calls. When the time to install came everything was organized in advance, the equipment was dropped, the crew arrived, and (Thank you Nick) the installation progressed as we were told. When it was finished we were provided a tour and a clear explanation. Couples days later the needed inspections were completed, without us having to request anything, 10 days later PECO was putting our new bi-directional meter again without us having to take care of anything. We are more than pleased with the services we received, I completely endorse Exact Solar. The last nice surprise we received was a letter acknowledging a donation to SELF.org in our honor, we returned the favor because it's important for anyone in the world to have access to clean energy. Thank you to all the team behind Exact Solar's success. Thierry

Superb custom roof install!

Went with Exact Solar after they matched or slightly improved on a quote from a larger competitor. 13kW flat roof install. They were attentive to design considerations, and efficient in the install. Ran into a few small hiccups in the electric connections and communications with the inverters, but they handled it professionally and rapidly, even putting up with my intervention to conform the internet connectivity into my preferred setup. Which I have since changed on my own, but that is thanks in part to their thorough explanations of the system and how it communicates. The system has been robust, and the service was top-notch.

Outstanding Company, Great Customer Service

Easy and transparent end to end process - even saved more than original estimates. Great pre and post installation communication, support and timely follow-ups.

The Exact Solar team that installed my system was phenomenal!

I chose Exact Solar because the online reviews for this company were uniformly positive and almost without exception their customers rated them 5 stars.

14.4 kWh system running great in NJ

Exact Solar has a great team to execute a solar install project. In NJ, installing solar is a no-brainer with Exact Solar. We have no electric bill and sell 1 to 2 NJ SRECs per month, and ultimately getting around 23-24% annual return on our investment in the near term.
