I had my panels installed last November. During the site survey they informed me that my roof was in pretty bad shape, we have had some bad hail storms over the years here in Fort Worth and just had a bad one before they did the survey. The survey guy showed us pictures of the roof so we could see the issue for ourselves. SolarCity even offered to help pay for the roof if our insurance would not cover it. Thankfully our insurance did. Once our roof was fixed we called and they came right out to resurvey, all went well and our final engineering design showed we needed fewer panels than originally estimated, which is great news! We finally got installed without any headache and then had to wait for the city and oncor to inspect. The inspections and reroof are the only part of the process that took time.
