After researching and talking to many solar companies (SunRun, OC Solar, SemperSolaris, Tesla, SunLove.US, HES) servicing the Orange County area, I decided to go with Ameco Solar due to their track record, years in the industry, and overall great experiencing in conversing with their sales team and project manager. I decided to get a new roof, 200 amp service panel, and solar system to take advantage of the solar federal tax credit and Ameco Solar and Roofing was a one stop shop for the whole project. Thomas Vitale was patient and answered all my questions regarding the roofing, solar panels, and electric panel. Yazmina, our project manager, was really great to work with. Responses to our questions via email were quick and she explained everything about our solar system, how to shutdown the system if needed, how to use the online portal, and provided all documentation regarding the use of our system. The roofing install went a little rocky with the roofers leaving roof nails on the ground in the backyard and around the house and driveway. Yazmina was able to coordinate with roofers and have them go with a magnet all around the house and backyard to make sure all the nails were collected. Overall, a great experience with Ameco. My solar system generates 41.6 watts on a very sunny day in March, more than enough to meet my household needs and then a lot extra that I can run my AC and other electronics and no longer have to worry about a huge energy bill. Sure, the upfront cost is a pretty penny, but it will pay for itself in under 10 years.
