First of all, sale rep has lied to us about efficiency of the system (we have all calculation on how much system suppose to produce watts, signed by sale rep). After some time, not getting result, we have submitted request to the company; problem wasn't solved. Company excuse was that their computer shows that everything is working/producing fine. It was like talking to the wall, you are showing to company electrical bills with very low system production, and getting the same answer, that 'our system is working just fine'. Now we have solar for about two years and have to live with it, no promised results, no solutions, no money back. It is a big scam!!!

This customer was upset that his bill was not lower than he calculated-but the solar performance was spot on. He obtained his own financing and based his (first month's) savings on the LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) number that we provided him. This value essentially "averages" the value of energy over the system's 30 year lifecycle, which is much higher in the future than today. If he had showed us his calculations, we would have been glad to point out the error. But he was mad he made a mistake and looked silly to his wife so he needed to push the blame to someone else. He got a great system with great economics...just not quite as good as he originally figured. Be sure to ask LOTS of questions to your solar consultant. Pete
