Explanation of delays in the installation:<br />1. UE scheduled the installation of the 5KW system for November 2003. At this time the state tax rebate amounted to 15%.<br />Due to a large backlog of installation requests UE could not do the installation until spring of 2004. The tax rebate, however, dropped to 7.5% in the year 2004. After the installation I mentioned to Tommy Nellon, the owner of UE, that the delay in installation cost me 7.5% in tax rebates. Tommy then, quickly and without even being asked, immediately reduced MY COST of the solar system by an amount equivalent to the difference in the tax rebate.<br /><br />During the process of installing the panels, Unlimited Energy experienced difficulty due to the configeration of the tile roof. As a result, customized support posts had to made for the section of the roof where the panels would be installed. This was done very quickly and at NO ADDITIONAL COST.<br /><br />I referred a friend to UE for solar installation. UE surveyed his residence and determined that due to how his residence/roof were situated, a solar roof would neither be practical nor cost effective. This shows that UE has the best interest of the potential customer in mind and will not install a system unless it is to the advantage of the customer.<br />Research concerning solar power, its application, and relative benefits compared to using fossile fues, was done via the Internet. This, along with visiting Germany and Japan, where solar power use is ahead of the U.S., and a review of web sites of companies offering solar systems, resulted in the decision to purchase such a system. Without the state purchase incentives, however, the system would not have been as attractive.
