Southern Energy Management helped me with an energy audit, home energy improvements and coordinating other contractors for insulation and crawlspace sealing. They have helped in followup meetings to determine the best ways to continue to reduce our energy consumption. We are planning on installing a PV system this fall and will definitely use Southern Energy Management for this system.<br />We looked at the long term benefits versus the costs ( social, environmental, economic ) of doing nothing. We saw a renewable energy system as a smart, longer term choice which would pay back in about 6 years. We can live with that time frame. We wanted to do our part for reducing the effects on health and climate change by reducing our electricity consumption which would mean less carbon dioxide, mercury and particulates would be released into the atmosphere by less coal being burned. This would also mean, hopefully, another mountain saved in West Virginia and saving the disruption of those communities in Appalachia.
