In addition to the sources of information you mention, major physical exhibitions of equipment (with or without a marketing element) eg Real Goods at Hopland, or various environmental projects around the world, provide interesting background information and idea of what the equipment looks like.<br />2. RE incentives question, without the incentives I certainly would not have been able to afford a system on this scale (we have a 5KW photovoltaic installation), but I would have considered something smaller.
