Review for Arizona Solar Concepts (Out of Business)

We we're skeptics of the whole solar sales process so I interviewed no less than five companies. We spoke with the big box contractors, membership store pitches, radio "consultant" (that was a joke!) and even spoke with several realtors and internet referrals. Initially our final presentation was who we felt comfortable with. However, being cautious of such a large purchase we called Arizona Solar Concepts as our final interview. One sales rep wanted to sell us 26 panels at a total cost of $42,000 and no where in her pitch was anything about the system, only how much we could save. We knew we only needed 16-17 to produce 110% of our needs and AZ Solar Concepts didn't try to oversell. Prior to our sales rep calling, we had already narrowed systems down to three and determined approximately how much power we would have to generate. The rep, Casey Coleman actually had an easy job since the SunPower system was already on our short list. He was the only rep who came with a sample of a solar panel and explained how it all worked. We made his job easy and he made our decision easy with a bonus. Solar Concepts didn't require a 50%-60% up front payment, they split it over the several months of permitting, intallation, inspection and instruction time. So be prepared! It could take several months. The installation crew was professional and speedy once all the pieces fell onto place. AZ Solar Concepts was attentive to our concerns about limited communication and even created an inhouse position of customer communication to ease new customers' minds. They listen! Our biggest thrill was getting our first APS bill. The previous year it was $60. This year it was a credit of $24! I love going on online or to my phone to see how much we're producing and I hear "cha-ching!" Remember solar production is less on overcast and rainy days and doesn't produce at night. You will still need the power company's product during those times, so opt in for the best time if use rate plan you can and try to use "your own power" as much as possible. SunPower by Arizona Solar Concepts is a name I recommend because of the attention to detail, professional people and backing up what they say with a price and product that beat them all.
