For reference: approximately 14kw install (about 45 panels). ---a pretty large residential install. Don't know where to begin! I had gotten referrals for other solar companies from neighbors to co-workers and I had a list of several companies to check out. It was all so confusing, so I decided to do my own research. Time and time again, Green Power Energy kept coming up with excellent reviews and (overwhelmingly) satisfied customers. Reading those reviews made me think that something about GPE stood out. My wife and I decided to take a chance and invite Luis over a chat. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the solar industry. He was friendly, professional, and offered valuable advice. He had all information and was quickly able to give us the options for our property. This was a big financial commitment but ultimately, my wife and I decided to take this as an opportunity to save a lot of money in the long run, be relatively "grid-free" and enjoy the benefits of going solar. We have had major work done to our house in previous years, and I'm still reeling from some of the sub-contractor horrors we've discovered. Mostly I have had to do the repairs myself. This has left me a bit jaded when it comes to outside workers doing any work, so now my expectations are pretty high. Well, I quickly learned that GPE was true to their word. All appointments were kept. Site survey, township permit application, PSE&G scheduling and interactions were all done without anything required from us. All contract, approvals, change order etc, were done electronically via DocuSign. All email correspondence was on time, as promised and informative. The crews that came out to install the panels were here multiple days. The installation was terrific. They were professionals and, I believe they are all "in-house" so that also explains why this company is so good. The wiring was superbly done and the township inspector passed it without issue. The wiring crew, meter installs, turn-on and test, and then final activation were handled in the most professional manner. Even the final “pest barrier” install has been done in a superb manner. I can't speak more highly about these people. I know every situation is different, but for us, this was the best major upgrade we've ever done, and I am so happy we were able to do this with, arguably, the best solar company in the entire state. We will gladly refer them to anyone who is interested in going solar.
