After doing a good deal of research on solar panels, energy efficiency, and solar providers in LA, we decided to go with LA Solar Group as our provider. We received competing quotes and had several "appraisals" of our roof indicating that our roof would be stable enough for solar panels. On the day of the install, LA Solar drilled multiple holes through the ceiling in FIVE different rooms of our home; they didn't even notice their mistake, and would have continued drilling hole after hole through our ceiling were it not for my wife notifying them of their serious mistake. They did a sloppy and careless job patching the holes, with sealant looking through onto a brand new rug in our office. <br /><br />Post install, we began to experience leaks throughout our home, and it seemed like every time LA Solar went on our roof to correct and fix their mistake, they created more issues, whether that was drilling even MORE holes in our ceiling, or incorrectly installing flashing on our roof and on our chimney. Their work was shoddy and substandard, and of course, they're now repudiating all responsibility for the leaks in our roof. It's been over a year, and we continue to experience leaks and less-than-optimal solar production due to the fact that we've had to put tarps on our roof to prevent the leaks (LA Solar had to come out three separate times to re-tarp the roof because they couldn't figure out how to apply a simple tarp to a roof).<br /><br />At this point, LA Solar has cut off all communication with us and has abandoned their obligations. They are in breach of their roof-leak warranty and the guarantees in our contract, and refuses to reimburse us for repairs that we've had to undertake as a consequence of their low quality workmanship. They don't care about you after they get paid; their salespeople will say anything to get you to sign. Their communication post-install (even before the leak problems) is substandard and far below expectations.<br /><br />
