I did not shop around too much. It seemed like Boston Solar was most popular installer in my area and had lots of information on its website. The visit with their sales rep answered all my questions and informed me on a few things I didn't even think of. So I was excited to move fast with them and not waste my time with anyone else.<br />Quality workmanship. It is a lot of equipment, not just the panels and rails, but also conduit, inverters, and meters. Even though it was a lot attached and inside the house, the artisans did a great job keeping it a low profile. I really like the look of it.<br />Quick service. I signed the contract on October 15 and was skeptical that the system would be operational by the end of the year. But by Dec 4th (less than 50 days), we were generating solar power. The great thing was how Boston Solar took care of everything. I just needed to sign contracts and write checks. Only time two times I needed to be home was when they started the two-day install so I could point out where everything was and then be present when the town inspector arrived.<br />When I talked to the town inspector, he said he does lots of solar inspections, but not as many as when the tax incentives first came out. At that time, he said there were lots of fly-by-night solar companies that didn't do good jobs. He said Boston Solar has been around for a while and knows what they are doing. That re-assured me that I made the right choice in going with Boston Solar.
