My system was installed 8 years ago and I've had a 70% failure rate. The first inverter failed a year after they went online. At first this wasn't a big deal, I'd contact enphase and eventually (a month or two later) they'd send me a replacement, I'd swap inverters and send the failed ones back. But then a couple years ago they decided that they would only allow "professional installers" to replace the inverters. It took me 9 months to get a failed inverter replaced. I had two more inverters fail 3 months ago and I can't get any of the installers in my area to even call me back. From reading the complaints online, apparently enphase only pays the installers chump change to service the inverters and for most installers it's not worth their time.<br />So now you can't get them replaced. A 15-25 year warranty is worthless if you can't get them to honor it.<br />Enphase is just screwing their customers left and right, I'm surprised their still in business.
