We were PROMISED that we would end up with only a hook up fee from Duke. This was completely wrong. Since installing the solar 2 years ago, our electric bill has only decreased by $50.<br />During the first year, we were then told that we need to remove the oak tree in our front yard because it was blocking the sun. That cost us another $3,000. Why didn't they see this when they sold us this system.<br />We now need a new roof and we cannot get a roofing company that will touch the solar. EMS quote for a new roof was almost $6,000 more than others, and they want $3400 to remove and reinstall the solar.
