Once good, now not!

I was very pleased with my install, but then had to have my roof replaced after hail damage and CamSolar stated they would remove the system and reinstall it, for $6,000. I have 30 panels and they charge $100 per panel for removal and the same to reinstall. The system worked after the re-install and lately I have been having troubles, I would have to reset the Inverter, then it would stay in a fault and I had them come to check the system. When I got the appointment I was told there was a service charge to cover their time (They don't mention that when you buy the system), then when they were here they found wires they installed had arked in a box and repaired their mistakes. I was not charged and was told it should be fine (it was working) and to call Cord the service manager if anything went wrong. Well, a few hours later the system was not working again. I called and left a message and then called again, it took a long time for the to get back to me, and then longer for them to come out and look at the system. They were here and checking the system and I had to leave, I got a phone call from Cord stating that some of the panels had internal ground issues and that it was caused by the hail storm two years earlier. Although they worked before CamSolar remover them and after they were reinstalled, somehow the hail caused a delayed damage. Now they won't come out to address the problem until I pay them a service fee and an hourly rate, what happened to the warranty?

Hail is brutal, I am sorry you have had to go through that experience. I understand that removals and reinstalls can seem pretty expensive, but the cost should be covered by your homeowners insurance. There is quite a bit of liability on our end so that is a good portion of the reason. The panels, and the inverter are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but unfortunately we do have a small service charge to send a team of technicians out to the property. I know you are frustrated and I am sorry for that.

On a side note, and hopefully a bit of a silver lining, how amazing is it to see the panels hold up better than a roof in the hail storm. The new technology is amazingly tough! First time I say it, my mind was blown.
