I would say our experience was average for a home improvement purchase. As with any addition to your home you must be involved in every aspect or there will be dissapointment.<br />I naively made the mistake of assuming the sales pitch would match the experience. Dallon was the sales guy and did a great job. His job wasn't hard because we already had a serious desire. He was VERY knowledgeable. Procuring our financing was a snap. Our credit may have helped with that. Administratively speaking things went as expected. Follow up with Will was average. The HOA was called by a typical HOA nark the day of installation. The HOA was taken by surprise (and gave us a call reminding us of possible penalties) because paperwork wasn't properly filed by Ion. Our HOA has changed alot so part of that is understandable but, again, follow up helps with that.<br />The installation was where the real value of service dissapointed us. The crew and their attitude was fantastic. Smart, efficient and friendly guys. I might be a picky and over-priviliaged at this point in my life but that's not where I came from. I've had to take a bath with alligators at one point in my life. The roof was damaged from the guys pivoting the panels on it. I found panel mounting bolts not quite tightened all the way. The gutter paint was scratched where the panels were scraped along it getting them up on the roof. The electrical panels on the side of the house were not installed nice and tight as promised by our sales guy. They sprawled out and were even installed right on top of a window frame. One of the bare grounding wires could have been routed way tighter. We all know panels and assosiated hardware are one of the most deterring factors for those concerned with aesthetics of the installation and these oversights don't help make the case for solar.<br />We have yet to have the panels turned on. I had to follow up with our energy company who had yet to put in the work order to install their meter. They did so when I called. Again, follow up.<br />As for product performance- the ultimately most valuable aspect of this review -I'm unable to be of any help at all. Sorry. The sad part is that a true review should include this. Most reviews that I have read do not include this so any positive review reflects only service value which for me is the lesser value in purchasing a product such as this one.<br />As I said, my experience was average. You are ultimately responsible for the proper execution of any project you embark on and can only depend on yourself to ensure your satisfaction.<br />"A premium solar experience" is just clever marketing. Stay involved in the project.
