Signed under contract with Boston Solar in February and System was installed in May. Was very happy with the entire process. Initial estimates for solar production were off by 10% once Sun Eye measurements were made, but Boston Solar was able to reconfigure the panel layout to get me within 5% of their original estimates. All the workers from carpenters that reinforced joists to panel installers and electricians were very professional. Unfortunately my town electrical inspector was very difficult to work with and took 7 weeks to inspect. Once that was done building inspector took 2 days and National Grid 1 day to install the net meter. If anything could have been better perhaps BS could have been a little more proactive with the electrical inspector, although that may have been out of their control. I would (and have) recommended Boston Solar to anyone. They may not be the cheapest supplier, but they provide great quality for the money.

Nick, thank you very much for the review and the feedback! I'm glad to hear that despite some of the setbacks with the project you are still happy with the quality and service you received! 7 weeks for the electrical inspection is definitely outside the timeframe that we target for our projects - we do our best to try and proactively follow up on inspection scheduling without negatively impacting the relationship with the building department/inspectors by following up too often. With that said, we do look at every case that goes outside our target timeframe in detail to evaluate whether there could have been any changes to our process to achieve a quicker turnaround.
