swing and a miss

We purchased our system last year, it worked fine for a little over a year, but never made the kwp that the system is rated for. I noticed back in May that our system wasn't working. It has turned into a nightmare with blue raven. Their phone handlers conveniently tell lies and half truths to presumably get you off the phone. <br /><br />It took over a month to get any plan of recourse on the original invertor. We were told tall tales of parts needing to be ordered etc. A month later the technician came and successfully changed out the invertor which died that afternoon. This is where it gets interesting, the technician came out the following week and diagnosed it as being dead, he went and picked one up that day. He didn't have to order it or wait on solar edge to ship one, he just drove across town and scooped one up. Well why didn't he do that the first time we had to wait for a month. <br /><br />Now, the third invertor has gone kaput. I have told blue raven i am going to contact a lawyer. I mean, what are your options when a company is operating in this fashion. It was truly easier to just pay the power company than to put up with this level of ineptitude and shady business practices. Every single time i have called it has been the run-around game. The phone jockey i spoke with tonight couldn't even tell me who his boss is or even who signs the paychecks around there, or is he not supposed to so the level of foolery never stops. I see it like this, blue raven has 3 options. <br />1. Fix the system properly<br />2. Take this junk off my house and re-reimburse the money.<br />3. I can take this junk off my house and hand deliver it to them, this option doesn't bode well for anybody<br /><br />If your contemplating using this company, I highly suggest you shop around. There has to be a solar company that uses a “best practice” when selling and installing solar products.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience has been a frustrating one. Inverter issues like yours are not the norm, especially with the frequency you’ve experienced them. We agree, getting your inverter replaced the first time took far too long. At Blue Raven we’re committed to learning from these short comings, hearing your feedback, and implementing better processes that keep the experience smooth. We applied those lessons when you needed work on the second inverter by switching it out within a day of when it was assessed. With this recent production issue we’re also glad to see that the inverter just needed a software patch from SolarEdge – which was corrected less than 1 day after the issue was raised, as Kyle from our office called and discussed.
