Last month, I made the decision to purchase a solar system and I now have solar panels installed on my rooftop. It has been a very speedy process thanks to the very efficient and responsive folks at Southern Current. For me, it took 1.5 months to decide on the installer and after doing a lot of research on installers, solar panels, inverters, I chose Southern Current. The four high level steps - Interconnection request with SC&G, city/county design approval, HOA approval, and installation took a little under 7 weeks and two more weeks for utility and city inspection. I compared Sunrun, Horizon Pwr, United Solar, Hilton Head Solar, and Southern Current and created a very elaborate spreadsheet to do an apples-to-apples comparison since every company provides the same information in a different manner. Bobby Jones was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He was very patient with all my questions and even helped me compare different proposals.
