Good system but company could improve

My email and telephone conversations with Letticia Escobar were helpful. My conversation with the first salesman (Carl) was abysmal. He was rude and avoided offering me information on a solar system. After essentially calling me an idiot for having a current electric contract, he ended the conversation. I was later contacted by someone from GST customer service who was very attentive to my feedback about my initial salesman. I was then contacted by Gerry, a second salesman who provided me considerable information and eventually convinced me that solar would be an appropriate choice for my electricity situation. The contract process was very quick and done electronically. I then was called by a project manager who apparently set up a site visit and ordered the materials. The installation crew was competent and installed the panels and inverter in a very workmanlike manner. However, after explaining how they would send me a link so I could monitor system performance on my computer and phone, they failed to actually send me that link. I then was notified that I had a new project manager. He gave me his cell number andI I attempted to call him twice; neither time did he answer his phone. I left a voicemail and eventually he called me back and gave me some moderately helpful information. My second call resulted in a voicemail to him that he never returned. By then I had about 6 significant questions dealing with warranty, income tax paperwork, on-line monitoring, that sort of thing. My system had been working well for about 3 weeks when Customer Service called me again. This was opportune as I had unanswered questions and little confidence that the project manager would talk to me or have accurate answers. I conveyed my questions and the Customer Service lady understood all my questions, gave me good answers, sent me a link for the on-line monitoring, and generally did much to offset my disappointment with the sales and project management folks. Review: the sales force seems too anxious to "close a sale" and without helping a prospective customer with valid information; the project managers were sparse on information and terribly weak on follow-up; the installation crew was excellent; the equipment seems to be top-notch, and the customer service ladies have been outstanding.
