I have had my system for over one year. Bottom line up front, I have not paid an electrical bill for over six months and currently have a $190 credit. I would not have paid the first six months if I was not under contract to a utility that charged me .10/kw and paid me 0.7/kw.<br /> Starting from the beginning Solar Centex has been a wonderful company to work with. Chris Graham came by with aerial photo's and a few options for the solar panel placement, he had designed the system to meet approximately 80-85% of my current needs. I opted for a grid tie system on the south side of my house. <br />I had some work to do to minimize the shading caused by overgrown trees, we worked out a time frame and on the date we had agreed on the crew showed up and placed the system in 1.5 days. While this was going on Scott facilitated the paperwork with Oncor to make this truly a turn key operation.<br />Thru Solar Centex I was able to meet Onstar requirements for a program that saved me $3500 off the cost of the installation, coupling this with a 30% federal tax credit I was able to have a 16,000$ dollar system for about 9k.<br />At the current rate I estimate the system will pay for itself in 6-7 years, I do not skimp on AC at all, my house is nice and cool. <br />I had looked at Solar systems before but I was overwhelmed with the paperwork that Oncor requested. Solar Centex handled all the paperwork and made this process extremely easy. Oh, by the way Solar Centex also installed a monitoring system that works thru wi-if where I can see how each panel is producing, this system also gives me the amount of Kw produced every day with history going back to system initiation.<br />In closing, I am ecstatic about my solar system and highly recommend Solar Centex
