Green Solar Technologies just completed a 17.1 kW solar system on the roof of our 28' x 64' pole barn. The barn was built as a part of the solar project on a net-metering agreement with Dayton, Power & Light (DP&L). I also had them install a whole house 22 KW Generac generator, so if the grid goes down, we will not be without power. We did not do a battery storage solution as there are more cost effective alternatives to Lithium Ion Battery storage like H2 generation and storage. Jesse Stevenson, the project manager was instrumental in every step of the way in the success of this project. As with every project, there are many challenges, like weather delays and minor miscommunications, but there wasn't anything that couldn't be overcome by the persistence and tenacity of the Green Solar Technologies staff and all the prime and sub contractors involved! Special thanks to DIY Pole Barns, Collosal Construction, Inc., YellowLite, Hauser & Brinnen, & DP&L.
