A pleasurable experience

Boston Solar has been a pleasure to work with. I was impressed with them from start to finish. We had looked into one company before Boston Solar that gave us one option for a solar system. Boston Solar worked differently: We were given at least four options of possible systems with differences in panel output and number of panels. For each option, we were told the electrical output and how much we would get back from state and federal governments, and SRECs. Also, I found Boston Solar's solar consultant very knowledgeable about the technical details of solar power generation and distribution.<br /><br />Wanting to explore the possibilities some more, their solar consultant generated a few more options on his laptop for us to consider. He also advised us to consider future needs—we were already planning on air conditioning, but he advised us to think also of other possibilities, such as electric cars. So we bought a system that produces quite a lot more than our current use, which I am very pleased about since I've decided to get a heat pump installed to handle air conditioning and to lower our winter heating costs.<br /><br />Boston Solar did an excellent job of upgrading our electrical panel (we had a mid-1950s fuse box), installing our panels, getting the necessary permits, and working with Eversource to switch us over to net metering. They also put us in touch with an excellent solar loan company (BlueWave) and told us how to apply for rebates and tax deductions from the state and the federal government. There were more steps involved in getting solar panels than I had imagined, but Boston Solar made the whole process a pleasurable experience. I highly recommend them.
