We oversized the inverter (from the 4000TL model to 5000TL) to allow for more panels in the future. Although we didn't know it when we ordered the system (and haven't yet tested it), these inverters allow for manual switching to off-grid production of up to 2 Kw. This will allow us to keep the refrigerator going during daytime hours if and when the grid is down.
