I will echo earlier reviews by saying that, upon completion of this project, I cannot imagine going with any other vendor. Matt Feeney, with his extensive experience in the aerospace and energy industry, is an engineer's engineer. His work is meticulous; his materials top-of-the-line. And when his team shows up, surely enough it is his family, and almost always a trainee or apprentice, i.e. tech school students. In the case of my project, two of these apprentices were ex-military. a veteran himself, Matt believes in and practices ongoing support for this community. In addition to getting the highest quality install, by going with CES one is supporting the widest possible alternative energy community.<br /><br />For this particular installation, we wanted backup battery storage as well. We wanted to avoid relying on a (natural gas) generator for backup power. While the other vendors we solicited hesitated at this request, and had to seek other specialists, Matt, with his deep expertise, knew exactly what to propose. In this case a 280Ah, 48V battery bank consisting of 4 Concorde PVX2580L sealed lead acid batteries in a beautiful custom-built, locking aluminum cabinet. Enough power - in the form of safe, established technology - to keep the lights and essentials (including the gas furnace) running for a few days on their own, and indefinitely with PV charging.<br /><br />It is deeply satisfying to have the actual owner of this company working on your home. Getting to know Matt a little personally (I'm also a former engineer, and veteran), I continued to be amazed at the extent of his engineering resume. <br /><br /> No going through secretaries or call centers. You get to see and work with this expertise in the flesh. I will not hesitate to recommend CES as the top choice for PV installation projects. Stu Cummings, Boulder
