DO NOT DO IT!!! IT IS A SCAM!!! The sales team pitch was that they would take our utility bills and based on our average bill, would select the number of panels that would provide enough power to offset that bill. Then, for the financing, they would help you set up a loan that would only charge the same amount as that average bill so in essence you would be shifting the average you would pay on your electricity bill over to your loan until you pay the entire amount off. Sounds pretty good, right? Nope, because our panels don't produce even half of what was promised. The company's defense is to shift the blame over to their sales team, that they are now saying is not even part of their company, for miscalculating the number of panels selected. However, they have invited to purchase more panels to make up the difference at wholesale cost. No thanks! Why? Because the ones I already have are not producing. During the summer (the highest power generating time of the year) our production actually WENT DOWN. April was the highest month and then plummeted each month. Clear Solar's defense? "Uhhh, this was a real shady season. Everyone's productivity went down." Sorry, I'm not buying that. They have tried to shove some settlement money our way to try to get us to go away but it's nothing compared to the money we are losing with a subpar system. They refuse to repair it and you can't sue them because of the arbitration clause in the contract. We're working on that. See you in arbitration court you phonies!
