I had been looking into solar for the past year or two and finally decided to get it once I noticed more and more of my neighbor's sporting solar panels on their roofs. Even though we already had an pretty energy efficient home, I noticed our electric bill slowly increasing year after year, even more so after we had a baby this year and needed the AC on pretty much 24/7. Our bill pretty much skyrocketed after that.<br /><br />I had done some research on the various sizes, brands, and companies in the months prior to sealing the deal. After getting several quotes, I ultimately decided to go with SunLux due to their competitive pricing, good warranty, and the brands offered for their solar panel equipment.<br /><br />All the communication was done by phone or email, I never actually met with anyone from the company prior to signing the contract.<br />Once the contract was signed, one of their reps came out to take measurements on the roof. We ended up getting a 18 panel system in case we needed more energy later on. SunLux took care of all the city permits and contacting Edison.<br /><br />Shortly after that, an installation date was set. The installation was actually really quick and took only a day to complete. The installation was clean and professional looking. Some of the tiles on the roof was damaged, but they were able to replace them without any issues within a short time.<br /><br />We also opted to have the critter guard installed so that we didn't have any issues with birds building nests underneath the panels.<br /><br />Once the installation was complete, the city came out and signed off on the job without any issues.<br /><br />The SunLux team was always available by email or phone to address any concerns I had. They did a good job of keeping us informed during every process.<br /><br />Despite some minor hiccups along the way, I was very satisfied with our solar experience from everyone at SunLux. Joe even personally reached out to resolve some of the issues we encountered and I felt like they really cared about providing good customer service.<br /><br />Our solar was approved for full operation as of 10/9/17. We received our first solar bill from Edison today and it was awesome seeing how little we owed.<br /><br />Overall, I'm very happy with how everything turned out and will definitely recommend more of our friends and family to them.
