When we were considering going solar, the salesman told us if we needed to have the roof replaced they would remove and reinstall the panels for $499. Sounded fair. Unfortunately 1 week after we went solar we had heavy winds and our roof was damaged. Called Solar City to find out how to coordinate the removal of the panels with the roofer. Imagine our surprise when they informed us the cost to remove and reinstall would be a competitive cost of $3,300. (Not the $499 we'd been told). When the salesman was called about the change in cost he again advised the cost was $499 and said they must have thought we had purchased the system rather then leased. A second call to customer service resulted in the same answer as the first call - $3,300. <br /><br />To say we feel scammed would be an understatement!!! Would never refer anyone to this company and have told our friends to beware.
