I contacted a sales rep at Vivint in April '17 and every step of the way from initial consultation to system installation and activation was quick, professional, thorough and always kept up-to-date with expected timelines for the next step in the process. <br />Vivint sent an electrical crew out to update my wiring from the street to my electric panel (circuit breaker box) - all new and very cleanly wired - upping my home's capacity from 60 to 100 amps to be sure the solar panels would run optimally; and that upgrade was at their expense. <br />A week later, another crew came first thing in the morning to install the panels. They were efficient, cleaning up any left-over debris and happy to answer any questions I had. <br />The time waiting for my local utility to switch-out my meter to the net meter took a little while, but that's not in Vivint's control. <br />16 weeks from consultation to activation. System is producing more energy than I require on a daily basis, so excess energy is sent back to the grid for me to use when I need it, already in my account so I don't pay for it at their higher rates. <br />Only a few days in as a user and I'm pleased beyond my initial expectations. <br />Quick overview:<br />Vivint sales rep and customer support has been nothing less than professional and the same for all site work performed. <br />Unless I get some kind of surprise in the billing aspect of this partnership, I expect that this will be a great deal, as PPA vs ownership goes.
