VIVINT SOLAR COMPANY IS SCAM. BE WARE! READ THE FINE PRINT!!! Vivin solar is the worst company to go with. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE SIGNING UP WITH VIVNT SOLAR. This company is not customer service based. They are greedy and and won't budge even if they are unethical. The customer is not always right with vivint solar. The property we were living on got sold, the new buyer is not signing the transfer papers to make him responsible for the bills, VIVINT SOLAR acts like it's not their problem....I have been paying the new buyers bills for 6 months. We have been trying to avoid spending the money on a lawyer to resolve this, and we should have too. Vivint has informed me today that if the buyer doesn't respond or sign transfer in 30 days then VIVINT IS CANCELLING THE TRANSFER ENTIRELY. Meaning that the buyer won't be transferring services to his name at all, meaning that I will be paying for someone else's solar power bill and that's all just supposed to be ok????!!!!!??? I don't think so! Talk about a company LACKING ETHICS. They obviously don't care how they look to their customers as long as they get paid. I have had problems with vivint customer service since day one. They ARE NOT a customer based company. They only looking out for them. We even about transferring panels to our new home and continue service with them. NOPE. The only way to remove panels from old property is if we pay almost $40,000 to buy them outright. They have me and my family who just purchased a home with a large mortgage and bills in one of the most expensive places to live (Hawaii) stuck in an impossible situation. They act like their hands are tied but they have all the power. On top of the buyer being a douche bag for thinking he'll just let someone else pay the bill. Vivint solar is a very poorly run establishment with very questionable values and ethics when it comes to dealing with their customer. I have paid $950 to them to just try and keep the peace being that it is in my husbands name and so is our mortgage so bad credit wouldn't be good. This is not right any way you look at it and vivint is standing behind their contract. I was verbally informed when the guy came out to set us up, I specifically asked him if we moved would moving the panels be a problem and he said "no that won't be a problem". It's SCAM. it's all about getting as many people to sign up, banking on people not being informed or reading the small print and then holding them hostage to the contract no matter what....even if you don't reside on the property with the panels you can still be forced to pay the bill without vivint lifting a finger to make the buyer sign the transfer documents. I'd like to save anyone form signing their life away to vivint solar. The stress this whole situation has caused is insurmountable...and the hopelessness is ridiculous. Talk about corporate Greed at its finest. way to go vivint!
