I am very unhappy with our decision to go with solar city. I was very hesitant from the start but the representative assured me of all of these perks that we were getting. As a result of him lying to us, he is no longer an employee, but I am still stuck in a contract. He told us that we were guaranteed 99% productivity which meant that solar city reimbursed us the money for our electric bill if we did not produce enough in a given month. He also lied and told us were that our taxes were frozen once we got solar. If we were told the truth, we would have NEVER signed a contract. He messed up our contract TWO times. There were so many warning signs but my husband assured me that it was all fixed. When it comes down to it, he lied so that I would sign the finalized/correct contract. I do want to add that the employees that did all of inspecting and installing were very respectful and nice. They were very accommodating of the fact that we had an infant who would have to nap at some point during the day. Now that we are in the winter months, I am stuck paying two bills. I am also stuck in this contract for 20 years and when we sell in a year, I have to pray that the buyers want to take over the contract. I will NEVER refer someone to solar city again.
