Completely Satisfied

Being technologically inclined, I will admit to having done a lot of research into solar before deciding to look at who to speak to.

A1A has consistently had high reviews, and it's easy to see why now.

The sales process was the least enjoyable part of everything, but that was also because I already knew what I wanted, what the technology was, and how most processes would work, and I understood that most people do need to be sold these systems in this manner due to not knowing much, if anything, about solar. I don't fault them for it though.

The expectation was 4-6 weeks for permits and HOA approval, but the installation was being finished by the 4th week. I only received a few calls early on to schedule inspections of my home's electrical system to ensure that it can handle everything, then to schedule the installation and subsequent inspection and scheduling for activation of the system.

The installation was done in two days. Most take one I was told, but having 52 panels installed is a bit longer of a process than the typical installation. The work crew was kind and didn't mind me asking questions about the equipment or just chatting it up while they were working, and they completely cleaned up at the end of the second day.

We had some considerable rain the week after the panels were installed, and I'm happy to say that I saw no indications of leaks anywhere.

As of writing this, I've had two full weeks of power generation now, and I'm honestly impressed by the output. Over 14 days, some cloudy, some mostly sunny, we generated 573kWh, and November 20th was our highest output day so far, generating 49.8kWh. I expected far less considering the angle of the sun and the length of the days, but it has me greatly looking forward to what we will be seeing in June.

Final word: I'm extremely happy to have gone ahead with the installation. The amount of power it will generate for us should nearly, if not completely, offset the cost of the loan on the system. It's definitely one of the most sound and worthwhile investments you can make on your home. Not only does it raise your home's value (and with Amendment 4 that increased value does not add to your property taxes), but it also partially shades your roof during the hot months and generates a very notable about of value each month.

If it is affordable for you, it hardly makes sense to not do this anymore.
