I purchased a 9.27 KW Sun Power solar system that I am very happy with. The system is performing as advertised. The sales and installation process were fantastic. I am extremely happy with my purchase. However, the service after the sale was not good. My electric bills have been on average -$10. I currently have a credit with Austin Electric. My system has been running since late December.<br /><br />I spent almost a decade in industrial and commercial sales. I was a manufacturers representative for steam and hydronic systems. I specialized in Steam Boilers and steam systems. I also specialized in hydronic systems and pumps. So, I have quite a bit of experience in construction and sales. I left the industry in 2007, to pursue other passions. I mention my background because I feel it is relevant to my experience with Freedom Solar.<br /><br />My Salesmen's name was Robert Bradshaw. He did a fantastic job on earning my sale. I really dug into the technical details and asked a lot of questions. I pitted Robert against another salesman from one of their competitors. I even showed each salesman the other's bid. Robert was helpful, informative, gracious and handled my sale like a real pro. I was a very difficult customer and I know it. I can not say enough about his service in gaining my sale. <br /><br />However, once all the paperwork was signed, and the permitting was finished and I was handed off to the installation team, his service really dropped off. I had a really difficult time getting answers after the sale was closed. It took more than a week and multiple emails to get answers. I realize he has many customers and earns a living from commissions, but given how well he handled my sale, I was extremely disappointed in his service after the sale. When I would email Robert, he tended to give me a stock answer rather than looking into my particular sale and finding the answer I was looking for. In particular, I had issues getting my Friends and Family rebate from Sun Power. Robert assured me he had taken care of the paperwork on February 23rd, when in fact he did not turn in the paperwork until April.<br /><br />I have had issues with my solar System's reporting features that I have asked about on 3 separate occasions. They have never addressed the issue it has been 9 months since I brought up the issue and it has not been resolved. i have tried to contact 4 different people at freedom and no one has returned an email. The issue is minor and does not affect the system's performance.<br /><br />I am very happy with my purchase and their installation team, but I am extremely disappointed in the service I received after the sale. <br /><br />I was going to include this in my closing survey rather than go to social media, but Robert took the survey away from my wife as she was filling out ofter she was only able to answer 2 questions.<br /><br />Once, I signed the last check, i was completely ignored. I recommend Freedom highly, their system is outstanding I feel like any big issues were addressed in a timely fashion. However, Their service after installation in dealing with minor issues has been terrible. Do not sign the last check until your system is !00%.

This is obviously an area of our business that we are making a serious effort to improve upon and making significant investments in terms of additional service techs and software tools.
