I'm in my 4th month since moving forward with solar. Clear Solar from the start has been very non responsive to my calls. After I had signed an agreement they attempted to change costs on me. I asked for battery back up and they fail to answer questions or return calls so I cold make the right choice on a solution. My system has been installed and approved by the,city and power company. It's been a month and Clear Solar has yet to turn the system on. Again, they failed to return my calls. If you are considering Solar, I would look elsewhere. Find a company that views you as a valued customer and respects you. Alex was the only courteous person I worked with at the Company. He supported the sales process. Additionally, do your homework, there are lower cost systems that meet or surpass the quite of the systems provided by clear solar. Proceed with caution if you decide to move forward with clear solar.

This is Curt Van Hove the salesman that put this on Solar Review. This person, CombatVet, put this review on my site instead of the Clear Solar site. It should be here because he isn't even my client.<br /><br />I don't work for Clear Solar anymore. This person called me as I am a person that people can always get in touch with. They were looking for the number and name of someone at Clear Solar to help them because they had gotten very poor service. I looked around and got them a name to call. This issue should not be a reflection on me as I am always responsive to my clients and will always go out of my way to help anyone.

This review is on Clear Solar, Orem, UT. It's now MORE THAN TWO YEARS POST INSTALLATION. Updates follow:<br /><br />7/23/16<br />I'm going on my 4th month since moving forward with Clear Solar. From the start Clear Solar has been very non-responsive to many of my emails, and in providing me information and status updates. After I had signed an agreement they attempted to change costs on me. I asked for battery back up and they fail to answer questions or return calls so I could make the right choice on a solution. My system has been installed and approved by the city and power company. It''s been a month and Clear Solar has yet to turn the system on. If you are considering Solar, I would look elsewhere. Find a company that views you as a valued customer and respects you. Alex was the only courteous person I worked with at the Company. He supported the sales process. Additionally, do your homework, there are lower cost systems and company's with much better customer satisfaction that meet or surpass the Clear Solar. Proceed with caution if you decide to move forward with Clear Solar. Make sure you do all of your communication through email like I did. It's the only thing that will save you legally.<br /><br />UPDATE 8/7/2017<br />Still no reply to my numerous attempts to contact to Clear Solar. Interviewed by 'Get Gephardt'. He stated I'm not the first customer to request they be investigated for poor business practices. I've been trying to work with Clear Solar now for 17 months with little to no response. They truly do not care for their customers. I had a power outage and solar did not work. My monitoring station is not complete. By battery back-up system has faults. I've pretty much wasted $40K. I don't want you to regret making the same mistake. I CAUTION YOU TO USE ANOTHER SOLAR PROVIDER!!!! DO YOUR HOMEWORK.<br /><br />UPDATE 7/14/17<br />Fed up trying to get Clear Solar to fix my system. I'm now paying much more for power when you throw in the system costs. My system was supposed to come with monitoring system to. No router or anything else provided. Having another solar company to come in and fix the issues. Will be suing clear solar for all costs associated with repairs, along with court and attorney costs. Again, I'd think twice before signing any contract with clear solar. Funny how their review ratings seem to be going up - more than likely friends and family to drive up ratings. I urge you to check on them through the Better Business Bureau, you will see the true ratings.<br /><br />9/1/17 UPDATE <br />SPOKE WITH SEVERAL FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS. THEY RAVE ABOUT VIVINT SOLAR. THEIR SYSTEMS LOOK PROFESSIONAL AND THEIR POST INSTALLATION SUPPORT IS OUTSTANDING. IF I COULD DO IT AGAIN I'D GO WITH THEM.<br /><br />10/28/17<br />Clear Solar still has not educated us on our system nor have they cared for our system problems or finished their installment of our system by connecting up our back up battery and usage monitoring system. Hopefully this example helps you to go somewhere else.
