Do not go with Auric

I love having solar on my house. The panels work and offset my cost of my power bill. The price on the panels is exactly what they said it would be. What was not exactly as it should have been was the tax incentives. Do they work? Yes. Do you get back what they say you will? NO. Did I expect this? Yes. I had to come up with 5 grand to make the payments less than what I was initially paying for my electricity.

When I researched Auric I saw that they were Gephart approved and they were a very good business to go with. When I was interested in purchasing solar they were always in touch with me. When I had a problem they would never return phone calls. They would be in a meeting and even their customer service did not have anyone manning the phones. I see a ton of positive reviews and I am pleased that people had a better experience than I did. I love the idea of people switching to solar.

I believe that the investment will eventually pay off. Now I believe that I could have negotiated a better price on the panels. I feel that they over charge and they hide the price in the fact that you get tax incentives. Is this my fault for not researching? Yes. I believe I over paid by thousands and I will never recommend Auric to anyone.

Also if you plan on ever selling your residence and you think people will pay anything additional for your solar panels you are being lied to. I am in the process of selling my house and trying to get anyone to pay additional money for solar panels will not happen. All the real estate agents I have spoken to say that it does not add anything onto the price of your residence. It is a helpful selling point, but it will not help you in getting more money for your residence.

Don't bother asking Auric to move your panels if you do sell. Its an additional 10,000 dollars + or - a couple grand. When I asked them to help me with this they told me they would like me to sell the house with them on there. I told them I would loose too much money on it. They said to me that I could sell it for more because the panels were on the house. I told them that every adjuster does not add more money onto a residence because of this. When I purchased this was a huge selling point. Auric has received complaints about this and have changed their selling tactics, by saying that. In 7 years you will be able to recoup the cost. When I purchased them years ago when they were solar tek. They stated other wise.

Also the installation was a month behind schedule. I was unable to get into the network for an additional month to view my productivity. I had to call and call and call just to get access.

I know this also sounds like a really unhappy customer, but I just don't want anyone to trust anything that Auric solar says without verifying that it is accurate. Please do you're research and get multiple bids and do not pay what they are charging. You give the price you want to pay.

Dear Customer,

We are deeply concerned that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. If there is an opportunity for us to make this right with you, we would love to hear from you. Our Customer Service Manager can be reached at 801-505-9288. We do strive to be better today than we were yesterday.

Customer support - Our customer support has experienced some growing pains, and we have we have enhanced this team and added more good folks to meet our commitment to our customers.

Moving systems - We admit that this has been a trivial subject for us. There are more man hours involved in moving a solar system than installing a new system. We understand that our quote seems extreme, however this is not a scenario where we expect to make a profit. This subject is currently receiving a lot of attention in our organization. We are also actively working with the real-estate market to prove the added value in purchasing a home with an existing solar system. We understand that there is a level of ignorance in the real-estate market today in regards to solar, and we have committed resources to increase the awareness and provide as much education when and where we can.

Installation times - We have strict standards for our Fulfillment team and have high expectations that deadlines are met. They are a hard working team and all of them bring a great level of passion to work with every day. There are scenario’s where we encounter unexpected delays. We accept such scenario’s and view them as a learning opportunity. Solar is an investment, and I can testify that if there is a delay that Auric causes we go out of our way to make it up to the customer.
