I could only imagine the saving that would come from solar panels. The actual amount I saved on energy was astounding! <br />Direct Energy Solar was the winning bid. They also won me over with there information booklet. <br />The install went smoothly and I was able to get my tax credit for the year 2014. Now a year later and I have to say what a mistake waiting was.<br />I believe we experienced the hottest summer in a very long time in 2015. I live in California and the AC and pool motor use a lot of electricity. I turned on the AC in May and turned it off In October. My electric bill never was more than $1.00, yes one dollar!<br />The only thing I regret is that I put the panels flat on the roof. It was the best way to go for the money, at the time.<br />I am going to build a solar panel walkway/atrium to move the panels to so I can get 100% effectiveness instead of on 50% of efficiency.<br />I will be calling DES to move the panels when the walkway is finished.
