We recently installed a 8.5 kW ground mount PV system at our home in Millersville. We selected Solar Energy Services based on price, quality of equipment quoted and experience with the industry. We got our system, made of American sourced components (mainly the panel) for a very competitive price (about 40% less than the other bidder I was considering, who lowered their price but by then was out of the bidding due to dishonesty in pricing). The install went fairly quickly, the longest lead time was for the Anne Arundel County permits. Once the permits were granted (about 5 weeks) it took only 2 weeks to install, start to finish. The solar energy services install team was professional, and kept disruption to a minimum. Solar Energy Services worked on the site four days per week for both weeks (though not always all day). The system was easily approved by the Anne Arundel County inspectors and interconnection by BGE took about two weeks to approve. All in all, 10 weeks from start to finish. The system works as promised, generating around 40 kW-hrs per day on a sunny day, and around 10 on a very cloudy day. It replaces about 90% of our typical usage. <br /><br />Solar energy services really distinguished itself in making the application process for the various government programs trouble free. I literally only had to sign where they said to sign, add some detail to a website and they took care of everything else. All the incentives have now been approved (including the county tax abatement, the state grant and our SREC sale through sol systems). They provided the necessary documentation for the federal tax credit as well. <br /><br />All in all, probably the most trouble free remodeling project I've gone through, period. Highly recommended.
