Our solar installation after year # 1. <br /><br />Since we turned on our panels back on 8/1/14 up to 8/1/15.<br /><br />We generated about 11,900 KWH's. Used about 12,200. So, 97% of the power our house used in the year came from the roof.<br /><br />We paid $27K to have panels installed. Got $4000 in credits from state of MA and 30% of install price (about $7800) off federal tax's. Net cost about $15K.<br /><br />Generated 11.9 SREC's which I sell to utilities for about $300 a piece for the next 10 years.<br /><br />Electric bills went from $1508 to $169.<br /><br />I estimate a payback of about 4.8 years and a net gain of about $45,000 over 25 year life span of the system.<br /><br />If you want more details I love talking about it.<br /><br />Now you see why everyone wants to lease your roof????<br /><br />Many thanks to Revision Energy for the install. They are out of ME and anyone who lives north of Boston should talk to them before installing a ssytem. Great company that will not try to jam a lease down your throat...
