I have always been a little green. I have been recycling most of my life, way before they started picking it up from the curb. I may also be a little ODC when it comes to re-using things. So it was driving me crazy that I could not recycle the energy from the sun. I always thought solar panels were too expensive for the average home owner. When I saw that my frugal neighbor installed solar panels it caught my attention. When I saw how much money the solar panels were going to generate, I was sold. Between the tax credits, a grant from the county, SREC (credits for using solar power), BGE savings and BGE pay back, it will not be long before the system has paid for itself and the advantages and money will keep on coming. The best part is that Renewable Energy takes care of all the paperwork so that I don't miss any savings. Most of the time all I have to do is sign and return the forms. I would recommend everyone to get solar panels for great savings for their checkbook and also for a better environment.
