Superb customer service in what could have difficult situations.

This review and comments pertain specifically to SBS Solar operated by Dan Brandberg in Hamilton, MT.<br />The system was homeowner designed and installed; SBS was used primarily as a supplier of panels and the inverter technology. Due to problems with freight damage, it took three shipments to get all of our panels; 1/3 of the original shipment was damaged, and half of its replacement shipment. Dan did a great job of insuring we got what we should have. He also loaned me a crimp tool for installation. The inverter originally delivered was insufficient for our cold (-35F) environment, despite being the one recommended by the manufacturer's configuration software. While SBS's supplier was unwilling to exchange the inverter for the correct one, Dan agreed to take it back for use in some other installation where temperature would not be an issue. I would give him ten stars if I could. I almost ordered this equipment direct on-line; I am glad I did not, as I can only imagine the nightmare of trying to get it right in that situation.

The scheduling rating is NOT SBS solar's problem; it was totally due to freight shipment damage. The quality of installation rating reflects my (the homeowner) installation, not SBS solar's.<br /><br />I would add that the pricing I received for the hardware was competitive, in line with on-line prices and absolutely worth any extra because of the shipping damage and other exchange issues which needed to be resolved.
