Colette asked us what we looked for in a contractor. Our response was someone who did the job right using quality materials that will last and who minimized the impact on our house and family. MSSI met those expectations. <br />-----<br />Colette and Maryland Solar Solutions are fantastic. Colette sat down with the proposal and walked us through the process, how panels are installed on the roof, the different types of panels and the projected amount of production. She was clearly excited about solar and her company. MSSI provided three different proposals based on our discussion and we went with the 7.6 system. The start date was delayed for a week based on the winter weather, but Colette, Samantha and the rest of MSSI kept us appraised of the schedule. They also managed all the paperwork making the process transparent to us--they told us when we needed to sign something or do something, otherwise we got an email that said 'xx is happening, still on track.' An example of their responsiveness--when we were a week out from installation, I found out our HOA needed to approve the design. I sent a panicked note to Samantha and got the paperwork back, filled out, with attachments/documents to provide to the HOA within an hour. <br /><br />The installation was complete in three days on some of the coldest days of the winter. Mike came out on a Saturday morning to walk us through the operation of the system and once our meter was upgraded this week, we are operational. I got a call from MSSI to make sure I knew how to monitor the performance of the panels, which has become my number one favorite thing to do during the day. <br /><br />For anyone looking to install solar--MSSI should be the first place you look.
