They say they aren't "high pressure"

A rep from this Company came to our door - at first we were not qualified. Two weeks later, he came back w/ "good news" that we are actually qualified. We did not have an appointment, he just showed up. Rude, if you ask me. We both happened to be home so we listened to him. He went through his presentation and was very well spoken and throughout his speech he emphasized that he was not high pressure and he was "very easy going". Then, it came time to sign the 20 year "two page" contract (beware, its actually 4 pages, 2 pages front/back and the inside "pink" part has ALOT more to say). I was not prepared to sign that document w/o further research. He said that was OK, they could still do the roof survey but that he needed a form of payment? "Why?", I asked (since there were no out of pocket costs). He said to verify that you are a legitimate customer. Ya, no, I'm not giving you my account information. So, he said we could schedule the appt. anyway. We did schedule it but after reviewing the 4 page contract a lot of the things he "promised" were actually contradicted in the pink part of the contract, we cancelled. They don't point the pink part out but they review the other parts of the contract w/ you - this is VERY shady in my opinion - you are signing a 20 year agreement!! Please read the pink part before deciding. These people are everywhere in Phoenix. Oh, and he "forgot" his badge when we were asked by home office if he was wearing a badge. That may seem minute to some but when home office asks the customer that question during the phone review, it must be important. He needs to be prepared - instant loss of credibility from us. He was very rude and became hostile when we called to cancel. Vivint gives solar a bad name. No thanks

We're sorry to hear about your and the confusion. We want to be as transparent as possible. Even when you sign an agreement, it is not valid until installation. We ask for a signature before the survey, because it states that we are liable for the surveyor, should they get injured on your property. Since you wrote this in December, has your experience with our employees improved? Email me any additional complaints or concerns and I'd be happy to help (socialmedia@vivintsolar.com) Thank you for the feedback and for taking time to write this review.
