My issues are with billing and customer service. Billing is terrible and customer service is non-existent. Don't waste your time using their online case management system. It is a black hole from which you never get a response. Now to billing. Earlier this year they debited my bank account twice for one bill and blamed it on software. It took days to get the duplicate payment refunded and, in the meantime I had a $35 overdraft fee assessed by my bank. The major issue now is the date they draft my account. It's never the same date twice. When I asked for a fixed monthly date I was told they could not do that. They said they sent the request on the 17th of the month but it could take my bank up to 5 days to withdraw funds. Okay I said explain why one month it was the 30th. This month payment was taken on the 22nd and I now have another $35 overdraft fee because I expected payment to be taken on the 30th. ALL my bills are paid electronically and banking doesn't work like that. It is all computerized and I initiate a request to transfer funds from one bank to another today and the funds are gone tonight at midnight. Do not try to b.s. me like that. My request is simple; take funds no earlier than the 25th and no later than the end of the month. I was told they couldn't do that. Okay then send me a bill and I will pay it electronically on the 25th. I was told they couldn't do that. Okay then this is what I can do. My panel disconnect is locked open, my solar meter disconnect is open, and my panel breakers are open. The system is off and will remain off until I am recognized as a CUSTOMER and treated as such. The system will remain off until this billing issue is resolved to MY satisfaction. If I am not feeding power I am not incurring any Sunnova costs. They can debit $0.00 all they want on any day they want. So far my savings have not been anything like I was promised. Marginal at best and I have a real concern when I go to sell. The terrible billing and lack of customer service gives me grave concern.
