Intermountain Wind & Solar (IWS) was definitely the right choice. No high pressure...just the facts and follow through from the salesman. IWS took care of everything--permits, inspections, and expert installation. I just paid the very reasonable and competitive bill.
Communication from the office kept me advised of the project status. They accommodated my installation of aluminum shingles prior to the solar system installation and took care not to damage the new shingles.
A team of six arrived at 0830 on the scheduled day and they all went about their assignments professionally. One of the electricians had 20 years of experience. His partner went into the attic to run the wires from a solar junction box under the panels through the roof and to the conduit through the soffit directly above the power meter on the side of the house. A solar system breaker box was installed next to the power meter complete with labels...very professional.
Our 20-panel system was accurately installed on the roof, attached through the shingles with stand-off bolts screwed directly into rafters and carefully sealed. The panels were carefully aligned for maximum eye appeal and minimal hindrance of snow sliding off panel surfaces.
The Enphase Envoy Communication Gateway was plugged into my Internet and a power receptacle. I was instructed on how to use it to see the power production of my system and to obtain reports as desired online. The work was all completed by the end of the day with the work area left clean.
The power company installed the net meter the very next day. It was great to see the meter showing that I was producing more power than I was receiving from the power company.
The salesman came a few days after the installation to review the owner's manual with me and assure that I was satisfied. After he left, a crew of three quality assurance inspectors from IWS arrived to double check all the details of the installation. Amazing!
I could not be more pleased and highly recommend IWS to anyone desiring a professional, quality, economical solar system. I especially enjoy minimal power bills because the power I produce reduces the power I need to purchase from the power company.... read more
