YSG Solar

I reached out to YSG Solar to get a system with a back-up battery in NYC. Heard mixed messages from different installers, but YSG were adamant that they can do the solar system and have a back-up battery from Sonnen. After some back and forth, finally signed on the dotted line. Then the fun began. Took another month and multiple calls for the permits to be even submitted. Then, on the eve of installation, the PM gives me a surprise -- they can't do the battery they promised, as it is not approved by NYC (after 30 different times telling me it was ok). There is only one option for the battery -- pretty much take it or leave it situation. After a week of back and forth, the installation day arrives -- Monday. We made it clear to the YSG PM that we want the system to be fully installed that week, the sooner, the better, preferably by Wednesday. A crew and supplies arrive. They get to work. Mid-day it turns out that not all of the supplies were delivered, and some of the key elements of the PV system were not on the truck. 30% done, the crew leaves. PM communicates back that the required parts are backordered and he has no clue where they are. Finally, on Wednesday, he arranges that some of the supplies (enough to finish the PV system, but not the battery) will be delivered the next day. We make it clear to him that we are expecting the crew on Friday to finish work. Thursday comes. Supplies arrive, PM is MIA. Now he can't find a crew to install it on Friday, maybe the following week. Still in the middle of this. When I first signed with YSG, even after some back and forth, I wanted to recommend it to my friends, and acquaintances, even recommend a commercial project for them. Not anymore.
