With longer daylight hours our system has been producing surplus power 4 months in a row. Running A/C on hot days recently I checked the energy production and was happy to see that a surplus was being generated despite the continuous A/C. Total excess generation for current annual billing cyce = 1283 kWh. I now own a fully electric automobile fueled by a system which looks almost as good as the car! One caveat for potential residential customers: OR state income tax credit and Energy Trust of Oregon funds require >/= 75% TSRF (total solar resource fraction). Get yours calculated before deciding- it makes a large difference in initital cost outlay (my TSRF = 74%, so no $ from ETO or OR state tax credit).
