Tesla Energy

My initial installation of solar panels was great. They were quick and did an excellent job. Then I sold my house and needed to relocate my solar system. I asked SolarCity relocation to meet with and discuss the optimal location for the new solar install. They would not meet with my builder and did not provide any plans for the new solar design. This meant that my builder was unable to relocate roof vents and such to allow for a better solar location. The result was a decrease in solar output from my previous house.
When I bought the original system I was told it would be $500 to relocate.
Not entirely true either.
Sure it is $500 to take down and put up the panels.
Then another $500 for a new site survey.
And additional costs for newer equipment because they could not use the 1 year old transformer boxes etc.
Then during installation the crew decided to run the conduit from the panels to the electric box right down the middle of an exterior wall so I am now left with a silver conduit eyesore right in the middle of my house.
This after I specifically asked to have it run in the corner of my house as close to the gutter as possible.
I am not impressed with SolarCity's relocation department at all.
I would suggest not doing it.
