The shoddy and TOTALLY unprofessional installation of our solar panels by A-1 Solar has led us to nothing but problems with our roof Instead of pre-drilling the holes into our concrete tiles and actually hitting the beams to secure the solar braces, they forced-drilled the lag screws through the concrete tiles and into the plywood (missing the beams completely) creating channels for the rain water to flow. And flow it has, the rain that is, right into our entry hall and TV room. Perhaps we should be grateful that California has been in a drought for years on end, otherwise the damage to the interior of our home would have been far more extensive. A-1's own inspector/technician noted the installation as "truly pathetic" and informed us that "There is no question in my mind that A-1 is responsible for the full extent of this damage". Yet, our roof has NOT been adequately repaired to date.... read more
