I'm glad they are American made (Georgia) and very happy with the color and looks on the roof. They don't stand out like many other panels but rather blend in with the roof tiles.... read more

An A1A representative met me at the local home show and dispelled much of the older information I assumed was still true. After answering all my questions I invited him out to the home and reviewed our energy use as well as the site (roof). He came back with what has turned out to be a very well tailored system for our home to meet 90% of our energy consumption as restricted by our electric company. He also suggested losing our old water heating panels (instead of fixing them, they were broken for the 20th time) for a hybrid water heater. After installation of the hybrid system, our bill dropped an immediate 18-20% daily energy use. The solar panels went on later. The promise was made that all the permits could be obtained and everything could be installed in less than 5 weeks. Two weeks after signing the contract, everything was done (so much for 5 weeks). The onsite supervisor walked me through the entire setup and helped me make changes to the initial plan. This has helped us produce even more energy than expected. Since going active, our electric bill has varied between $11 and -$10 (a credit). I told family and friends about our experience on social media and in person. One friend got his panels last month and is "out producing" me. He also ran a -$15 credit on his bill as he's producing more than he's using.
